21st Century Learning Link 2009-10
In keeping with the tenets of 21st Century Learning, teachers and instructors need to be guided in making the most effective use of technology in their daily teaching. Bill Tracey has joined Credenda to share his nearly 15 years of knowledge and practices in the e-learning field. One goal will be facilitating synchronous and extended-duration group exploration of methodologies, strategies and resources for growth opportunities. Another is to work one-on-one with the staff of Credenda Virtual High School and Credenda Virtual College, as well as teachers and instructors from other schools and districts, to encourage their awareness and practices in education for the 21st Century. Bill Tracey also extends the professional development at http://credenda.wetpaint.com/ at Bill's Blog.
21st Century Learning Recordings 2008-09
It is crucial that educators have the information and technological literacy required to prepare their students for the 21st Century. Educators are no longer “content repositories”, but “information guides”. This list of recordings offers a wide range of professional development focused on integrating technology.
e-fitness for e-fficiency Link
Credenda's program name, “e-fitness for e-fficiency”, encapsulates the goal of our new wellness initiative. Our latest program was a Tic-Tac-Toe game.
PD1 Learning Theories Recording
Our September 25 exploration of Learning Theories was wonderfully collaborative with much serendipity. Using http://www.funderstanding.com/content/about-learning as our base, groups presented the learning theories so individuals could reflect on their preferences and the impact their preferences have on teaching.

PD2 Web2.0 Theories Recording Another valuable PD session facilitated by Bill Tracey. A healthy blend of individual experimentation and group sharing. Participants did a short learning style assessment and then the longer Multiple Intelligences assessment before going outside their comfort zones to explore Web 2.0 tools. |
Conference Link
Conferences can be very motivational but the trick is to transfer the learning to practice. Two of our eTeachers created a Wiki to help in the process of transferring conference experience to classroom experience. This Wiki also extends the conference experience to others. Check it out at http://credendatlt.wikispaces.com/.
